EPW – Collier, Bond Street, London, verge fusee, 52mm, 18K gold OF original consular case with spring-loaded bezel, bearing London hallmarks for 1805, incuse casemaker’s “W M“ marking, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 6, KWKS, verge escapement, diamond endstone, gilt mvt with pierced and engraved foliate scrolled balance cock having grotesque mask at its neck, s#557. Gross weight of assembled watch 63.9 dwt (99.4 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates with few scattered fine scratches; dial has some hls, chips, and patched chips along perimeter with the most notable being between 4 and 6; excellent hands; case shows little wear, few scattered abrasions to rear, small nick to lower rear; bow pivots freely with side-to-side along pendant pin; good domed glass crystal.
